The First City Troop of Philadelphia is the oldest military regiment in the United States. In the 1700s the troop was called The Light Horse of the City of Philadelphia. The Markoe Standard is named after the Troop's first Captain, Abraham Markoe whom presented the flag to the Troop. The Markoe Standard was carried by the Troop until the 1830s. It was housed at the Armory in Philadelphia until recently. Humphrys has produced flags for the First City Troop since the 1800s, we are proud to offer this replica of the original Markoe Standard.
The Markoe Standard replica is 3x3', dyed nylon with brass heading and grommets.
This is a "Unique Flag" - they are made to order - please call if you have a tight deadline. Thank you.
