Myanmar

3×5' nylon national flag of Myanmar.

Myanmar's flag is one of the newest in Asia. It was introduced in October 2010 under the 2008 constitution, replacing a socialist-era design of red with a blue canton.

Design

Three equal horizontal bands of yellow, green and red, with a large white five-pointed star centered across all three.

History & Symbolism

The flag was adopted on 21 October 2010. Yellow stands for solidarity, green for peace, tranquility and the country's greenery, and red for courage and decisiveness. The white star stands for the union of the country.
