3×5' nylon national flag of Togo.
Togo's flag was designed by the artist Paul Ahyi, and its official proportions follow the golden ratio, the classical proportion of art and architecture. It is the only national flag known to be drawn that way.
Design
Five equal horizontal stripes alternating green and yellow, with a red square canton bearing a white five-pointed star.
History & Symbolism
The flag was adopted on 27 April 1960, the day of independence from France. The five stripes stand for the country's regions. Green stands for hope and agriculture, yellow for faith in work and the nation's mineral wealth, red for the blood shed for independence and for love, and the white star for purity and hope.

Vexillographer's Note
At about 1:1.618, Togo's official flag is close to 3:5 (1:1.667), so our 3×5' flag is very near the designer's intent.
